Temperature self starting fire extinguishing device
Introduction:
Temperature-sensing, self-actuated fire extinguishing devices are a type of advanced fire extinguishing device that has recently been developed both domestically and internationally. They are fixed, non-electric, and self-actuated. They require no power source or traditional fire detection and alarm equipment. The entire system consists solely of a fire extinguishing agent storage cylinder and a flexible fire detection tube. The fire detection tube integrates fire detection, device activation, and fire extinguishing agent release. The flexible fire detection tube can be conveniently positioned closest to any potential ignition source. In the event of a fire, the fire detection tube ruptures due to heat, instantly releasing the fire extinguishing agent for targeted extinguishing.

Type and working principle: |
|
| Direct CO2 | Indirect CO2 |
| The fire detection tube is connected to the fire extinguishing agent container through a container valve and fixed above the most likely fire source to detect the fire source. When a fire occurs, the fire detection tube softens and bursts at the highest temperature. The pressure drop in the fire detection tube activates the container valve, and the fire extinguishing agent is released through the burst hole of the fire detection tube to extinguish the fire. At the same time, the alarm bell sounds, notifying the user that the fire extinguishing device has been activated and that the fire extinguishing device needs to be confirmed, the system needs to be repaired, and the fire extinguishing agent needs to be refilled. | |
System Application Scope:
The temperature-sensing automatic fire extinguishing system solves the long-standing fire prevention problem in fire-prone spaces such as electrical equipment, control boxes, and distribution boards, a problem that has plagued the fire protection industry. Currently, this system has been widely used in power plants, telecommunications, broadcasting, petrochemical, and railway systems in China, accumulating a wealth of successful experience.
1. Suitable for firefighting in the following locations:
Microwave rooms, decimeter wave rooms, meter wave rooms, substations, and uninterruptible power supply rooms within radio and television transmission towers; programmable switching rooms, control rooms, and signaling transfer point rooms within communication systems; control rooms, electronic equipment rooms, computer rooms, relay rooms, and substations in power plants; areas where cables cross, are densely packed, and where intermediate joints are located; substation cabinets, elevator control cabinets, and cable trays with trough boxes or bridges; and other locations with relatively enclosed enclosures for special or critical equipment. 2. Applicable Fire Types
2.1 Carbon dioxide-filled fire-detection tube automatic fire-extinguishing devices can be used to extinguish the following fires:
Fires of flammable gases where the gas source can be shut off before extinguishing the fire;
Fires of Class A, B, and C liquids or fusible solids such as paraffin and asphalt;
Fires of solid surfaces and deep-seated fires of some solid materials such as cotton, fabric, and paper;
Electrical fires.
2.3 Carbon dioxide-filled fire-detection tube automatic fire-extinguishing devices must not be used to extinguish the following fires:
Fires of chemicals containing oxidants, such as nitrocellulose and gunpowder;
Fires of reactive metals such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, titanium, and zirconium;
Fires of metal hydrides such as potassium hydride and sodium hydride.

Direct-type temperature-sensing, self-actuating fire extinguishing devices Main components include a container containing fire extinguishing agent, a container valve, a pressurized fire detection tube that releases the agent and has fire detection capabilities, a pressure gauge, a one-way valve, a pressure switch, an alarm, and a dedicated connector for the fire detection tube. The fire detection tube is a high-tech non-metallic composite product. It combines long-term leak resistance, flexibility, and effective temperature sensitivity. After pressurization, it explodes within a certain temperature range to release the extinguishing agent or transmit a fire signal. |
